Dr. Easton received a bachelor of science degree in Chemistry from the University of Central Florida and graduated with a Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1982. He did his externship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami in 1982. It was there that he met his wife Gloria, who was training as an Ophthalmic technician. They were married in 1983 and have two children: Robert, III and Linda.

Dr. Easton, a South Florida native, has been actively serving his profession and the community since he started his own practice in 1985.

In addition to participating in over 50 hours of continuing medical eye-education courses each year, Dr. Easton has been the proud recipient of the Broward Country Optometrist of the Year Award for 1985 and was voted by 20/20 Magazine's the Best and Brightest Eyecare Provider in 1991 and was voted "up and comer" winner by South Florida Magazine in health care in 1993. Dr. Easton is also listed in Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in Medicine and Health Care, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, and in Top Optometrist's in America.
